Questions you might want to ask about homegroups...
Who’s going to be hosting them? That’s not yet finalised, but we’ve between 6 and 8 households in All Souls, spread across the area our congregation covers, who are keen to host a group. We’ll be putting up a map and photos in the next couple of weeks!
Would I be assigned to one? No. But we will write and suggest a group that’s nearest and worth considering. If for some reason it’s not appropriate - for example, it might be on a night you can’t make - just let us know and we can suggest alternatives.
What if I don’t like it? I’d urge you to give it a couple of goes at least - things take time to settle down and get going - but there’s nothing stopping you bowing out gracefully. Give it a try!
We’ve got babysitting problems We’re going to see if it’s feasible to arrange babysitting swaps between households going to groups on different nights. It’s great if you can find a way to go together if you’re a couple.
Do I have to be there every month? Life’s complicated and busy, but it will be worth making every effort not to miss one. It’s only once a month after all and the dates are arranged a good way ahead. Once you know what day of the week your group meets, you’ll be able to work out the dates for the next six months at least. Here are the first few weeks already: 2nd-6th June; 30th June-4th July; 4th-8th August...
