Every Sunday morning, around forty children from years 1 to 6 at school gather for fun, games, songs and Bible stories. The Soul Time leaders' team is made up of twelve adult volunteers from All Souls, working in four teams across the month to make each session as welcoming, memorable and fun as possible.
Their aim is to give every child the chance to hear about the God we know in Jesus in an appropriate and unpressurised way and to give them opportunities to worship and pray and to enjoy God's love for them. The Soul Time-ers are split into three teams - RED (yr 1&2), GREEN (yr 3&4) and BLUE (yr 5&6) - and they spend time in those teams playing games, creating craft and talking and praying about what they've heard. When all the teams come together, there is usually a DVD clip to watch and often a quiz, craft, worship songs or an all-together game to enjoy. Once a month Gems children join the Soul Time children for a children's service, during this service we worship altogether, have puppets, story and do an activity together. Learning more about Jesus and his life in a fun interactive way! There's a gallery of photos from Soul Times elsewhere on the site... Visiting parents are very welcome indeed!
