If Christ is risen, nothing else matters. And if Christ is not risen -- nothing else matters.

Looking back on your week, what has mattered most?

How does it change its character and importance in the light of Jesus being risen and alive, having defeated the final enemy, death and giving us the gift of himself by his Spirit?

That's not glib optimism - Jesus risen from the dead doesn't make "everything alright". It is, though, real hope in the middle of despair. Glory in the midst of darkness. Life out of the midst of death. Easter Day from the ashes of crucifixion.
