Marriage Course
A short, informal course across seven weekly evenings for couples who want to build for the future...
We are exploring the possibility of running the Marriage course once again in early 2011, over seven evenings - starting January 2011 (with a break for Half Term) - following its hugely popular first run in 2009.
"The course was great. Now we are more able to listen, resolve, discuss and (openly) love" (Couple who attended a Marriage Course after two years of marriage)
"There was such an atmosphere of love and support that we felt encouraged to work through the challenges. This has been a special and significant experience for us" (Couple married forty years)
What does it cover and who's it for?
The course takes a different topic each week ranging from the art of communication to the power of forgiveness, from the impact of in-laws to sexual intimacy.
- If you have been together for a number of years perhaps, it's time for a relationship MOT - or even to carry out some repairs?
- ...or you may earlier in your relationship and want to develop healthy patterns for loving and living together.
You'll receive helpful pointers and hear real and honest anecdotes from the couples who lead the course. And you'll have plenty of time to talk to your partner at a table for two with dimmed lights, mood music, a glass of wine and nice snacks.
Nobody is asked to share anything in public!
The course can be comfortably recommended to friends and neighbours. While it has Christian principles at its heart, it's relevant for any married couple regardless of whether they are church members.
