Crèche
Our aim for crèche is for babies and young toddlers to enjoy their time with us in a safe and welcoming environment.
Crèche is available from the point in the service when the rest of the children go to their own groups. On All-age service Sundays (for example at Christmas and Easter), an area of the church itself is set-aside for this age-group.
Sunday Mornings
Our purpose-built Crèche Room is situated in what used to be the "Stage" for the Main Hall. It's set out with mats and toys for the children who come as well as sofas for parents and helpers.
Parents are more than welcome to stay with their child (and get nice coffee and biscuits, plus a chance to chat with other parents!) or may opt to leave them with the team.
Sunday Afternoons
We have fewer babies and toddlers in the afternoon, so combine all children's groups for babies and pre-schoolers in the Studio room (accessed through the church garden).
See below for some notes to help first-time users of the group:
- Registration
If your child is new to crèche, complete a registration form (online here) as soon as you can so that we can know whether your child has any allergies we should be aware of etc.
Please sign your child into crèche each week. They will be given a name sticker to wear.
- Leaving your child
If your child is happy to stay in crèche on their own please ensure that you have completed the register and that the team know roughly where you can be found in church if needs be. We would also ask that you check with the team that there are enough adults staying behind.
- Drink and a biscuit
We give children (of an appropriate age) a drink and biscuit, so if you would rather they did not have one, or if they are unable to have certain types please let us know.
- Nappies and toilets!
It would be helpful if you could take your child to the toilet before they come into crèche. For those in nappies there are changing facilities in the crèche room, we will come and find you as soon as possible.
- Collecting your child
Please collect your child promptly after the service.
