Curate
Calum joined the staff team as Curate in July 2011 after training at Ridley Hall theological college in Cambridge for two years.
Calum grew up on a small island near Oban on the West coast of Scotland (though you probably will say he doesn’t sound very Scottish!). He worked on luxury sailing yachts before, and after, studying engineering at the University of Edinburgh. He loves playing music of all kinds, mostly on the violin and guitar, especially contemporary and traditional Celtic music and still plays a few gigs in London.
Although having a childhood faith it wasn’t until meeting some amazing Christians at university that he started to really understand who Jesus was and is and seek to follow Him (listen here to hear more). He loves helping people explore the Christian faith and is passionate about helping people follow and trust Jesus in work and everyday life.
Before theological college Calum lived in London for 8 years; four of which were working in IT in the City and the other four working at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) being involved in the areas of prayer and worship and helping on the Alpha course. He also spent a year in the USA working at a new church in Charleston, SC called St Peter’s.
Calum’s rest day is Friday.
